Studio apartment to rent - Centro Storico Scalea

A small but cute studio apartment to rent in Centro Storico, Scalea.

Scalea is a pretty town situated in Calabria in Southern Italy, on the sunny Tyrrhenian coast. Surrounded by sea and mountains, Scalea is both a modern seaside resort and an ancient town built on a hill.

In the old town (Centro Storico) the main "street" is an attractive stairway that begins in Piazza De Palma and winds it way upwards to the ruins of the Norman Castle passing along the way the Palazzo Palamolla, of Renaissance inspiration and the Torre Cimalonga, an Aragonese style building, now the home of a small museum.

Situated at the top of Centro Storico next to the ruins of the castle, Capannone Rosso is a small studio apartment tucked away amidst the ancient cobbled pavements and steps.
Accessible by car from above but only on foot from below here is a chance to spend time in "real" Italy amid Italians whose families have lived here for centuries.
The living space has a sofa as well as a four-poster bed with drapes.
The corner kitchen gives you the flexibility to dish up a meal created from the wonderful, fresh ingredients available locally - but with the proximity of all the restaurants and bars in town you may decide that eating out is more appealing.
There is a small balcony with table and chairs so breakfast in the sun or a glass of wine watching the sun go down are both possible and to be recommended.

The apartment is fully equipped with bed linen and towels (including beach towels), hairdryer and iron.
The kitchen has a fridge, hob, kettle & toaster.
A travel cot can be supplied on request.
